I decided to edit a page and removed the Table of Contents heading, thinking it would merge into the text above it. The entire text disappeared. I hope that it is completely gone and not “hidden” somewhere to perhaps so up in my final product. When I “click” on “Manage Custom Pages”, I do not see text on the pages so I cannot check there. Any words of advice? Thanks.

Two things could have happened. If you removed the section, it will be in your trash can. If you click the trash can, it will show you all sections you have deleted. You may choose to restore any of these to your book.

If you did not delete the section, only the title, the section will still be available on it’s proper page. If you turn to the page the text was on before, you will see the text, lacking a title. You can click on the text to edit it, and add the title back. Or you can remove the section entirely, by dragging it to the trash can.

I have 3 headings under the first chapter--“our children”—“our first child”, “second”, and “youngest”. The last one, “our youngest child”, is on the page before the text begins for the youngest child. How can I move the text back to where it needs to be so that it is just underneath the heading? It’s really confusing! Thanks.

One more question…when I am adding a memory, why does it sometimes say, “saving failed”? What does that mean?

Hi Andrea,

To your first question, try placing a page break at the end of “second” so that “youngest” ends up on the next page. The page break is the option that looks like a line =, next to bold, lists and other options in your editor.

To your second question, saving failed means that your computer wasn’t able to reach the MemoryPress servers and it’s letting you know that you can’t assume that your memory is safe. Try saving again in a minute or, if you happen to loose your connection to the web, select all your text with your mouse and click control+c to copy it to the clipboard so that you don’t loose it.

Thanks so much for your help, Neal. I didn’t have a chance to call you back yet, but I will try your suggestions!
